Is endophthalmitis curable?

While most cases of endophthalmitis are curable, some cases may not respond to treatment, resulting in complete loss of vision in the affected eye. It is extremely important to diagnose and treat cases of endophthalmitis within 24 hours. Intravitreal antibiotics are the mainstay of treatment.
