Laser or Injection inside the eye?

Is laser preferred or injection inside the eye in a patient with diabetic retinopathy.

In patients with advanced diabetic retinopathy laser is a must. This helps to preserve the health of the retina and prevent further deterioration. However laser does not improve vision in bleeds etc. Injections help to improve vision in cases of macular edema and vitreous haemorrhage. In some cases surgery is required to restore vision.
