Fluid under the retina

What is Central Serous Retinopathy?

Fluid collects under the centre of the retina or macula. This happens mainly due to stress. Fluid leaks passively from the underlying choroid. This is usually self-resolving unless the patient is on steroids. Steroids usually worsen the condition. This is treated with focal laser or injections if it does not resolve soon or is recurrent.
